COVID-19 Care Package Response - Q2 2020

Situation

Many of our low income and elderly customers were facing hardships because of the pandemic. We wanted to support them and our communities, beyond natural gas distribution, by providing care packages filled with shelf-stable foods, fresh fruit, and household essentials.

Solution

In partnership with Corporate Communications, Legal, Technology Organization, Customer Experience, and Training and Energy Efficiency, the effort was launched in less than two weeks. Shipt, the retail delivery company owned by Target, delivered the much-needed care packages to more than 5,000 customers across the GAS footprint.

It was an innovative way for GAS and its local distribution companies (LDCs) to create an uplifting and memorable experience in the communities we serve.
